Millaa Millaa falls is breathtaking in its beauty. The bridal veil of water cascading into a cool pond, surrounded by lush tree ferns and white scented ginger.

The main carpark is close to the base of the falls, and if you were really lazy, you could view the falls from the window of your car, but you would miss the cool mist on your face and the chance to yell at your loved one over the thunder of the falls.

Millaa Millaa Falls is is the first waterfall on the "Waterfall Circuit" of three waterfalls you can view in a short circuit drive east of the town of Millaa Millaa.

Malanda Falls is located at the edge of Malanda, traveling south on the Malanda-Atherton Rd. Here the North Johnstone River flows through the rainforest, under the bridge and tumbles down to an artificial swimming pool. In essence you will be driving over the Malanda Falls .

The swimming pool is a popular place with the locals on a warm day. Check out the Visitors Centre, and take the Tulip Oak walk beside the river and through the rainforest. Platypus and sometimes tree-kangaroos can be seen and the saw-shelled turtles are a common sight.

Dinner Falls is located in the Mt Hypipamee National Park on the Kennedy Highway. Here you can see the ‘Crater' and Dinner Falls .

It's a 10 minute walk (approx.) from the car park to the eerie volcanic pipe Crater, then you can return via the ‘natural' path to see the different sections of Dinner Falls, which is a series of falls and slides down gleaming black rocks. This mountain stream later becomes the mighty Barron River.

The cool mountain water flows right alongside the Waterfall Cafe (which sits on top of the actual waterfall) which is approximately a 100 metre drop to the bottom. You can swim at the top of the falls near the café, or at the bottom of the falls. It is approximately a 15 min walk to the bottom.

Nandroya Falls & Tchupala Falls: Both of these falls are found in the Wooroonooran National Park (Palmerston section) which is situated on the Palmerston Highway , midway between Innisfail and Millaa Millaa . The Nandroya Falls is part of an approx 3 hour walk that begins west of the Henrietta Creek picnic and camping ground. The Tchupala Falls Trackhead carpark can be found about 2 km west of Crawfords Lookout.
